Qualifying
After a two-year hiatus, Teen Masters is reinstating qualifying events to determine the elite field of 150 girls and 150 boys who will compete for 2022 titles and their share of over $50,000 in guaranteed SMART scholarships this summer in Detroit. Because Teen Masters is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this summer, we want all fifty states to be represented. Below is a current listing of our USA qualifying locations. The list will be updated as additional hosts are finalized.
Host bowling centers are running most, and youth tournament groups are staging a few. This year the format, the number of games, the number of local scholarships, any ball limitations, oil patterns, and the entry fee will vary by location. Most events will use a challenging lane condition and allow any USBC-approved bowling ball to be used. We will post individual event flyers as soon as we have them from each host.
Every event will award at least one girl and one boy a paid entry into the 2022 Teen Masters North American Championships in Detroit, July 31 - August 5, and some will offer additional paid entries. The number of paid entries to be awarded at each qualifier is indicated by 1 + 1 (one girl, one boy) or 2 + 2 (two girls, two boys) below. Paid entries can only be earned by bowlers not already entered in the Championships. Championship entries are not transferable. Bowlers advancing to the Championships are responsible for their own travel expenses.
There are two ways to enter a qualifying event:

In addition to those earning paid entries, additional invitations to enter the 2022 Championships will be extended to participants based on the number of bowlers in a given qualifier. Because we only have the ability to extend invitations to bowlers who have an account on TeenMastersBowling.com, it is important that all participants set one up even if they enter a qualifier directly with the host.
